10th ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2014 

7 – 8 October 2014, Manchester, UK

The 2014 conference ran alongside the European Waste Water Management Conference and presented the opportunity to explore overlapping fields and new areas for collaboration.

As in previous years, the conference shared and promoted best practice in the design, implementation and management of constructed wetlands in the wider water environment, with an emphasis on direct practical experience, new initiatives, case studies and research.

In place of field trips, the afternoon of the second day was devoted to a Question and Answer Discussion Forum.

The event included oral and poster presentations from practitioners and was attended by the water industry, regulators, academia, developers, planners and anyone else with relevant experience to share.

The keynote speaker was Brian D’Arcy who delivered a thought-provoking presentation on the regulator’s perspective on constructed wetlands and the best student poster entitled ‘Quantifying mixing in low velocity vegetated ponds’ was awarded to Patrick West, James Hart, Ian Guymer from the University of Warwick.
