Following up from our Silver Anniversary conference, the CWA moves to Scotland to showcase some of the breadth of experience with the technology for the past three decades. We will discuss long term performance, evidence-led designs, and the latest research on constructed wetlands for improving water quality from a variety of sources.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS OPEN - DEADLINE 5th MARCH
We are pleased to invite you to contribute to our upcoming Annual Conference, taking place 12th & 13th May in Glasgow. We encourage researchers, practitioners, and project teams to share their latest insights and experiences through peer-reviewed talks on the following themes:
- Overcoming challenges and enabling success
- Turning policy into practice
- Achieving multiple benefits with constructed wetlands
- New approaches in wetland design and implementation
- Wetlands for nutrient control in both rural and urban settings
- Farm-based wetlands and catchment-scale solutions
- Resource recovery and circular economy opportunities
- Learning from long-term monitoring of full-scale systems
We are also open to other topics that help advance the understanding or practical use of constructed wetlands.
We welcome data-driven contributions—please note that commercial presentations will not be considered. If you have research findings or case studies to share, please submit your abstract to events@constructedwetland.co.uk with "ABSTRACT" in the subject line.
We particularly welcome submissions from those new to wetlands (< 5 years of experience), regardless of age. Contributions from New Wetland Professionals will be considered for flash presentations (5 minutes) or posters. Prizes will be awarded in both categories.

- Speaker(s) name, job title and organisation.
- Title of your contribution
- A brief summary of the scope of your presentation and key learning points (150 words).
- Your preference for a poster or oral presentation
- Whether you are a New Wetland Professional
